My life has been simple yet more meaningful than I ever could imagine. Growing up my grandma Mrs. Joan L. Reid was my inspiration and my best friend. I watched and learned so much through her patience and passion, baking with her was the best part! I knew baking was a passion that gave me joy. As time passed, I became a mother of 5. Whenever I could, you would find me in the kitchen; baking and decorating! I have an amazing family who loves unconditionally through every step, mistake and lesson in life.

My career landed in the hospitality/food services industry early in life. I have been in management for 28 years in the field of which the past 9 years I have been a general manager. I often kept a part time job throughout these years to make ends meet. I also have been very fortunate to be the head cake decorator in a successful bakery in Virginia “Pearl’s bakeshoppe”. I am grateful that I have been able to learn, grow and create the path I am on. This is a great asset to me in owning and operating LandOoCakes.

I named our bakery for my son Landon, he passed away October 2024. LandOo was his nickname given to him by his closest friends who remained in his life always. Working through this each day is a process as I understand life will never be as it was, I am carrying his soul with me each day. Landon would often say to me “mom you have to manifest what you want in this life.”

So this is for all my family and Landon!! I’m all in son. I’m manifesting what you knew I always dreamed of, to do what brings me Joy, what I Love to do and share it with the world. For that I am humble and grateful.
